One tough customer
I needed to remove a couple of rock waterfalls that had been standing for 35 plus years. They were constructed with field stone and mortar. Lots of mortar. I wanted to save as much of the rock as possible for use in another project. So, I bought this Bosch demo hammer. I have a lot of experience using Bosch tools in my woodworking shop. I had little experience in demo work on masonry. I didn't want a full on jack hammer, because like I said, I was trying to do a surgical removal of the rock. At 12 pounds this tool is not lightweight. But compared to full on jack hammers, it is much more manageable. To date I have put about 30 hours of use on it. It is doing the job and saving me a lot of money vs hiring someone else to do it.

SDS-MAX hammer
It is very light weight for the power and if you have to use for more than a couple of hours it makes a huge difference. Amazon doesn't really make it plain that you can ONLY use SDS-MAX bits and SDS-Plus does not work. In fact after I put it in the cart the "people who bought this also bought" listings showed several items of the wrong series. I guess they don't mention those that bought them had to return them (as I did). Other than the fact I had to run to a hardware store for chisels I thought I had, this is a great tool. Also it isn't a hammer drill, just a hammer that can pound a hole in concrete.

One trick pony
But sometimes that’s all you need. Very good at what it does but not amazing. Could use a little extra umph but will run all day in the heat and not give up on you. Great bang for the buck

Compact lightweight powerhouse
Used the dh507 with a Bosch spade to dig 36 inch deep footer holes underneath my deck. My deck posts rotted out and I had to replace posts and dig deeper to meet code. Also used a makita da4031 angle drill with an auger. Also used dh507 to beak up rock I hit. Made in China but well made and runs cool. Compact. Fit in 12 inch wide hole .a
