The Multi-Colored Snail Combo Pack includes 3 Mystery Snails of 3 different colors: gold, blue, and black. Our large Mystery Snails have dual benefits — they add a burst of color to any aquarium, and act as natural fish tank washers! They consume uneaten fish food and biofilm, plus they clear off glass, s, and tank decorations. They also filter tank substrate to keep it the correct color. These peaceful snails grow large as adults (up to 3 inches in diameter) and are safe with any nonaggressive aquarium fish, dwarf shrimp, s (including a Marimo Moss Ball, java moss, Rotala indica, etc.), and even some freshwater crabs (such as the Pom Pom crab or Thai Micro Crabs). Compared to other freshwater snails, Mystery Snails are characteristically more active and playful and can often be found scaling the aquarium walls, extending their antennae in search of food, and climbing up any aquarium tube to the water line to breathe oxygen. Because of this, ensure the water line in your aquarium is low enough or keep an aquarium cover in place so your snails cannot escape. We often ship smaller sized (.25 to 1.5 inches) snails so you can enjoy them longer and watch them grow. A young Mystery Snail can double in size over the course of two weeks to months. NOTE: Contrary to what some websites state, Mystery Snails are NOT the same species as Apple Snails. Our Mystery Snails do not grow to the tremendous size that Apple Snails do (often as big as an apple).
