This collection of poetry is fresh and real. It has something to relate tofor anybody and offers an insight for a very poetic mind. I found manyintersting phrases and this struck me immedialey as one of those booksthat I will be taking down to read lots of times because I will always getnew enlightenment each and every time. I highly recommend this book asthe perfect book for anyone who might question any interest in poetry.It is so good that I have no doubt that Glenda Higgin's book is goingto inspire folks to take their own stab at writing poetry, as it surly hasme from that wonderful day that I happened upon this author's work.Milton Bruce Burnett, Abilene, KS.

I loved this handbook and I also love this author. This book is for the more than casual Holmes fan but not for the expert Holmes fan. It is filled with interesting facts such as Sherlock never said elementary my dear Watson. The book is very high quality - the covers a beautiful linen red. It also feels heavy for its small size making it a joy to read.

the book was pretty cool when i got it. the only thing is the book was more informational, it wasn't how to to do this or that- it gave examples but they weren't good ones. other than that the book was a good read, i would buy this book if you want to know more behind the scenes of the Sherlock Holmes books and how he did it, its not how to be exactly like him, they give suggestions but not very good ones to where you can start from, its more of what it was like back then in his world, how they dressed, how to survive a waterfall, different guns that are now rare to find. Great book i would say its worth it in the end!

If Sherlock Holmes doesn't interest you, then don't buy this book...because it is all about Sherlock Holmes' attributes, as the best detective (Doyle was knighted for writing the stories of an eccentric Holmes and an Army Surgeon Watson, needing a roommate after getting back from the Empire's Afghan War) that has still remained relative. Each of the observations about Holmes and Watson are reported on, are from (and accredited to) whatever story where Holmes said or did something that was of note to make him who he is...kinda like a Character Study from a 'Rich Man's Cliff Notes Guide.' I love the Sherlock Holmes mythos and the stories from Sir Conan Arthur Doyle and this is a lovely addition to my personal library.

I have read all of the Sherlock Holmes stories. This book complements the stories well. The author does a very good job of showing the different methods that Holmes used to solve the crimes he investigated. Fans of NCIS or other investigative shows will recognize the techniques that where introduced by Sherlock Holmes. The author includes some interesting facts along the way like how Scotland Yard got its name. A good read for fans of the detective.

Some of the chapters were a little "are you kidding me?" foolish. For example "How to Stage a Dramatic Entrance" really? It was an interesting read, but not the book I thought I was buying. But I also get a sense that said book does not take itself too seriously.

When I saw Ransom Riggs wrote it, AND it's about Sherlock Holmes!!! This is a charming, made to look old, hard cover book.
