Equal to or better than any in this price range
As a long time customer of DeLonghi toaster ovens I'm happy to recommend them for their high quality construction, quick heating capabilities and a tight door that actually holds heat where it is needed. This is my second go with this particular unit having purchased one in its first year being offered. I think it must have been about eight years ago. Finally, the lower heating units gave up, so I sought another unit. Thankfully, DeLonghi knows how reliable this product is and it hasn't changed substantially since the original. Remember to always look for the lowest price seeking this unit from as many retailers as you can find. Believe me, compared to the price of a similar unit, this is the one that'll come out on top.

Love, love, this oven!
I love this oven. I have had it for 4 years now and use it daily. It works beautifully for baking (both conventional and convection) and also for broiling or toasting. I use this rather than my large oven. I can certainly recommend this oven whole-heartedly. Easy to clean, versatile, and great quality.

So far so good
I've only had this for a few days, but it's performed quite well so far. It looks decent, has a pretty good capacity, stays reasonably cool. Absolutely maddening to use, but I doubt if any of the others are better- they insist on putting these idiotic electric brains in everything; it would be so much easier with just on-off, temperature, and convection on/off controls, but we soldier on. I've tried a couple of the pre set programs; the "cookies" setting worked pretty well with a pretty average sort of dough; the "pizza setting" was less successful and took almost 20 min. for a thin crust pizza, but it may be as well as you'll do with an oven that only reaches 450 degrees. The accessories that come with it are OK- a perforated pizza pan would work better than what they give you, and a cookie sheet or two would be great; then again, it's gotten pretty hard to find a regular size cookie sheet, and most of what's available is insulated (ie useless). Actually, the supplied pizza pan has embossed lettering so deep that it actually holds much of the crust away from the bottom of the pan, so that's not so good. There is a sort of sheet pan (I thought for a while that it was the bottom of the oven. It is not, however, flat- there's a large raised rectangle in the middle with embossed lettering, so it's pretty much useless for baking. The big question with these ovens is durability, which of course I can't tell at this point; the heating elements are metal rods, which are reputedly more durable than quartz elements, and the electronics seem to be pretty well protected from heat, but it's hard to be sure. The glass door is hinged at the bottom; this is probably the most convenient for loading the oven and placement, but it does make it vulnerable if you drop or spill something while loading/unloading the oven. The signal buzzer is nearly inaudible from more than a couple of feet, so not very useful. The included accessories are solidly built but poorly designed, a surprise from this company.

Great value overall
Perfect size for either a full dinner, baking deserts, or toasting bagels...very useful for all. Price is on the expensive side but features are worth it.....easy clean surfaces, inside and out....non stick interior is a plus. Keeps heat confined...no hot spots on counter or around door....well sealed. I would recommend this highly for a serious cook....could even replace a conventional oven if necessary.

Defective unit and major design flaw
I was so looking forward to this combo unit because it was smaller than most and nicer looking. And when it came it was excited because it was exactly what I was looking for. BUT- it never worked. It had a over heating error message that came on within 5 seconds, on any setting before the leaching even started to warm up. Clearly a broken piece in there somewhere. Additionally, the door didnโt stay open when I was putting my food in to cook it. I was thinking that could be dangerous once the unit heated up. If the door doesnโt stay open, it could burn you as you try to get your food out. Since my food never heated I couldnโt see if this would be a problem or not, but it was certainly annoying. And lastly, the handle sticks out from the face of the door too much. So when you open all the way and it hits the counter so you canโt slide the bottom tray in and out. Youโd have to pull the machine to the front of your counter and hang it off the edge so it can open at lease 90 degrees. On the counter it can only open maybe 75-80 degrees which blocks the tray from sliding in or out. If a new model comes out with the kinks worked out, I would want to purchase because it is the only one I could find with all these features in the smaller size that wasnโt super ugly to out in my just renovated kitchen.

The last one lasted 13 years - hopefully this one does, too!
My old De'Longhi toaster oven finally died after 13 years and thousands and thousands of uses, and I chose this one to replace it. It does a great job, comes to temperature quickly, toasts great, and is easy to use. It's a bit bigger than the older models, but it fits perfectly in that weird space on my counter under the cabinet and next to the fridge that's unusable for anything else! As others have noted, the design of the door handle means it doesn't open 100% of the way unless you have it positioned over the end of the counter, but that hasn't stopped me from being able to take things in and out, change around the shelves, etc. - all without searing my knuckles on the elements! The only thing I really don't love are the control knobs. They're finicky, not intuitive, and you can't get the precise control you could on the older models. I've learned how to work with it, but honestly, it's an overengineered solution for something that needs to be just a simple knob. But other than that, I love it, and hope it lasts as long as my last one!

We have had various counter top ovens over the years, including some with convection features. We had learned to expect that they would not be able to cook as evenly as a regular oven. That is until we purchased this one. After 9 months, since there is only two of us, we now hardly use our regular oven for cooking, as this one handles all our basic oven needs. We bought a pizza stone that fits in this oven and it makes a 12" pizza with a nice crispy crust. We bought a special wire basket to have the convection heat move around fries and wings and such. It's not as good as an air fryer, but it's better than just putting them in a baking pan. We make meat loaf in it and so on. Our regular oven is rarely used now and I'm sure we are saving on power because of its size. We are happy we purchased it.

Excellent quality. Does everything as expected but better than any other unit we tried. Very quiet operation. Fits well on counter top. Great heat transfer to product on all settings. Superior cooking in minimum time. Highly recommend.

A very complete all you need oven to clear your counters of toasters and other related appliances. Very well made - not tinny at all - we got rid of our air fryer and toaster as this is what suits us.

Works really well, especially for pizza. Minor complaint would be the selection knobs. They're a bit cheap feeling.
