Takes a while to plan and install !!!

The media could not be loaded. This actually took me a long time to plan and install on my 4th Gen Ram 1500. Mostly because I could not locate the wiring for my courtesy lights when i went to open my door. I wanted to write this review to help others decide if they should take on this project. Now for the parking and turn signal lights it's pretty easy to figure out which is which. After you unplug your light connector, put a voltmeter lead and see which goes to 12v when you have the parking lights on or the turn signals on. That will give you an indication which wire to splice into or solder into when you wire them in. As for the hard part, I spent a long time looking for the courtesy light to wire them into when you splice the white LED lights. I looked in the Haynes manual which has the electrical wiring for all the interior/exterior lights. I had spent most of the time looking for a color code on a huge harness that had 100 wires for that particular color code. Most trucks have a tiny courtesy light bulb near the engine release lever or a light bulb in the door trim that turns on when you open the door. My truck had none of that, so after tons of research I finally decided to trace the dome light wiring. Voila! Which i found the color code i was looking for! So I just tapped into the dome light wire to the "door assist" white LEDS you see in the video. Depending on your skill level, I'm more of a DIY'er or hobbyist, so I'm definitely not a professional, it will take probably a weekend or a whole day, removing the headlights, splicing wires, running wires together, jumping the wires from the cabin to the engine bay, and putting everything back together. It's definitely worth it, my truck gets a lot of attention, and the added courtesy lights makes it so much easier to get cargo out in the dark. I also like when I'm on the freeway, a lot of cars notice me before I notice them. I've had this light on for almost 6 months I still get a kick whenever I open my door or when I drive at night, it's definitely worth it if you want to invest the time to make your truck more custom and more functional!EDIT: There was a reviewer that said the 3M tape was no good. I cleaned the area that I stuck onto with alcohol a few times and it is very strong!EDIT 11/26/23: Many users complained the amber parking lamps were too bright sometimes. I have managed to wire in a SPST Nilight rocker switch. I just connected the power side of (switch) to the parking lamp circuit/wire, the center prong of the switch to the RED wire of the LED ( 12V+ parking lights), and the top copper prong of the switch is to the ground of the vehicle or NEG (-) of the battery. I have managed to turn off the bright amber parking lights while driving. So it's definitely a plus to go stealth mode sometimes!

Great lights, super bright!

These lights look amazing on my Chevy dually, diesel crew cab truck! They’re easy to install, are super bright and work great. My only issue is that the white lights are not compatible with my Chevy due to the courtesy lights of my truck being negative polarity switched instead of being positive switched, so in lieu of cutting into the strips to see if I could rewire them, I’ll just add a separate white LED strip some time later.Overall, I highly recommend these running lights. 😄

2015 F350 install

Awesome product. Full product review to come with updating rating and photos and videos. I did test the lights with a 9v battery to confirm they work and I think they are amazing and should be very bright once hooked up to 12v. A bit of a pain to install as you have to find the right wires. This is the most problematic part, but should be worth it in the end. 5 stars at this time for overall quality pending further install and testing. I have a 2015 F-350 Platinum 6.7. I found several different wiring diagrams and schematics online and from Chilton and Haynes. They all vary slightly and unfortunately only partially helped. So if you are buying 3 way running board lights (door activated white puddle lamps, parking amber, and turn amber) and need help on vehicle wires here is what I finally found for my 350. Access wire harness under inside of driver's side front wheel well. Remove wheel well cover. This gives you the best and definitely easiest access to the wires you need. All wires are in the same harness. Run the lead wires from the passenger side underneat to the driver's side. Zip tie where necessary to keep from direct heat contact. Couldnt go over top through engine bay as wires are about a foot to short for that, but did just fine underneath. Driver's side leads easily place directly to wheel well location on the driver's side. Took excess wire on driver's side and bundled/wrapped and tucked in void opening of body cavity near front drivers side well, just in front of door. At the wiring harness, I used the following wires via posi-taps. They're expensive but worth it. Trust me. If you don't know what posi-taps are, look them up here on Amazon or Google them. Best taps for T'ing off wires close to any harnesses or in short wire situations. Anyway, here are the wire colors I used:Puddle lights: PurpleRight Turn: Purple (Orange tracer)Left Turn: Grey (Black tracer)Parking lights: Yellow (Blue tracer)Pictures and videos to follow as I am not completed with the setup but did find the actual wire locations and at least wanted to start by sharing this info. All have been tested with pigtails direct into harness. After, of course tearing up the interior trying to put this together, as my initial desire was to route these into the cab for connection points, I found that this harness is the most efficient and easiest location for all wire contacts. More to follow.

Great Lights

The Lights work great, but I can't get the white lights to work on my 2017 Silverado from the tail light connections. Does anyone know where to locate the 12V door assist or what I can do to get this to work?

Great for the price

The media could not be loaded. These are great very easy installation, easily attached to the running boards with the adhesive. Good quality material, i added silicone to the ends for extra protection against water. Very good for the price.
