Very high quality and easy to put together. My cats like it well enough as any cat can like a carrier. lol

If you ever have tried to stuff a cat through the side door of a carrier, you'll understand what I'm talking about. It is far easier to drop the cat into the large top opening. The carrier is kinda small for our large cat, but he does not seem to mind. Maybe it's more "cozy" for him than a large carrier, not that he's exactly happy about the whole situation.Anyway, a good, well built carrier with a welcome top door feature.

A great cat carrier, sturdy, attractive, and thoughtfully designed. The upper door catches in the upright position so it can't flop closed as you're trying to put your unhappy and flailing cat inside. Both upper and front doors are metal and have spring-loaded squeeze locks that are solid and easy to operate. Altogether a fine unit.Update: I just read the one-star reviews, and some reviewers mention that the holes in the top shell meant to receive the hinge pins of the front door are not in the right place. Those holes on the top shell above the door are not for the door! I thought they were at first too, but the real front door pin holes are within the vertical fins you'll see above the doorway on the top shell. The pins go inside the plastic fins so they aren't exposed, which is a nice feature. You have to look at the top shell from underneath to see the holes. Don't do as one reviewer did and drill new holes. Just find the holes before you assemble it. Also, some reviewers said that the insides of the teardrop pattern openings on the top shell had sharp or jagged edges, so I checked mine. While mine aren't jagged they are on the sharp side. I covered them all with clear carton sealing tape from the inside to be safe. The two doors let in plenty of air.

I had to get a new carrier as my cat had shredded the fabric one we had. The top loading option was what drew me to this purchase as well as the hard material it’s made with. However, the only thing I wish they would have listed on the product listing is not just the width and length of the item, but the inside measurements. I took the sizes listed as the inside measurements, which turned out to be much smaller than I anticipated. Thankfully my cats still fit, but not much wiggle room. Had I done more research on it, I would have gotten the bigger size.It was super easy to put together and is sturdy.

I got these. And, love them. Top entry is such a bonus. Best design - especially for the price of anything online. Only thing is, the size small is for 10 pounds or less. So, for safety's sake, if your cat's larger, put it on a trolley, or carry it without using the handle. The handle is attached to the top door. So the only thing that's bearing all the weight from the handle, are the top door's two skinny crossbars. Should this break, the cat would not only be traumatized, but the door would've opened, and the cat could be lost. Also, a towel or something soft and absorbent would be advisable for the bottom. I have a 16 pound cat. So I opted to carry it from the bottom. It was cumbersome. But, I liked that they had the open air vs. the mesh soft sided carriers I'd been using. They can also be disassembled for storage, which is a terrific space saver.

I received this "PetMate" brand (which used to stand for quality) carrier for my two cats.Issues:1) arrived in a much to large box with no packaging inside, just loose2) the plastic is so cheap and thin, I wouldn't use even for my 5 pound kitty3) DANGEROUS sharp plastic (cheaply made) at the entrance, would cut your pet4) Item was used as shown in photos, hand long blond hairs inside (my hair is short gray) as well as splatters of who knows what.Will be returning and buying the better made Vibrant Life even though it doesn't have the top load.

Always having problems getting cat in basket to get vets. This is fantastic, can drop him in. What a relief

After one or two near disasters with other cat carriers, this has been a welcome purchase. It's upper and lower halves are screwed together and it has the safer top loading option. Size wise it isn't as tall as other popular cat carriers, so is only suitable for small cats. Highly recommended for small cats.

Very well made kennel which seems expensive, but probably value for money.It did have one minor problem in that the plastic in one area was broken off. Not too big a deal but surprising because otherwise this is a quality product. I contacted the manufacturer who said I should just have returned to Amazon, but it wasn't possible to do that as I needed the kennel immediately soon as it arrived.More irritating was that some idiot had simply thrown the little broken off part, about 1cm bye .5cm into the packaging. Clearly not damaged in transit.Anyway it didn't stop it being used, and as above ..... its good quality plastic and metal, which should really have had 5 stars instead of 4.

This pet carrier is well made and very sturdy. However, my cat is 4.5kg and doesn’t fit in it at all to move around or lay comfortably :( which is a real shame.
