Product Description ------------------- Gitane Professional Gypsy Jazz Guitar as played by and a favourite of John Jorgenson. Gitane Gypsy Jazz guitars are styled after the legendary instruments made by Selmer in the early 1930's. Each has design features and is constructed using the same techniques and methods that made the originals so special and collectable to this day. The gently arched top and perfect body proportions are all part of the sound that cannot be duplicated in any other style of guitar. The other features are: Body is bound in solid ebony with le/walnut/le purfling on top and back, bound le neck with a 21-fret fingerboard of genuine ebony, marked with pearl position dots, dovetail neck/body joint and horizontal cutaway. Characteristic oval sound hole, surrounded with a delicate multi-ply rosette. It has unique and rare solid peg head design, ebony moustache bridge with a compensated and movable centre.
