Yes it is. I use it on my studio mic and it works perfectly.

Does this work with any interface and microphone?

Yes. Good cables. I use mine everyday.

Does this cable also serve as a low- to high-impedance adapter? I'm trying to plug my mic directly into an effects pedal.

To the best of my knowledge the cable does not serve as an impedance adapter.
