10’’ Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear View Mirror Camera Night Vision for Car

This dash cam has been one of the best purchases I have made for my vehicles. The front and rear recording feature gives me peace of mind knowing I have a complete view of what happens on the road. The video quality is clear, the touchscreen is easy to use, and the night vision works well for recording in low-light conditions. This camera actually saved me when I had to defend myself in court after an interaction with a Texas state trooper. The footage from the front and rear cameras clearly showed what happened and helped prove my innocence. Having an unbiased recording of the event made all the difference. I really like this rearview mirror camera. The screen is clear, the design looks modern, and it was easy to set up. It gives me a better view while driving and makes me feel more comfortable on the road. The mirror itself looks nice and the cables are long enough for installation. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and think it’s a great upgrade for my car.

I installed this on a 2012 Ram 1500. The installation and routing the wires was simple. What makes me give this 4 stars is that the camera is offset to the left. When you wire the camera to the reverse light to trigger reverse parking mode with guidelines, the camera will switch to a zoomed-in downward angle and offset to the left making it virtually useless while in this mode. The offset is so badly off that you cannot rely on it's accuracy while backing up. I had to disconnect the wire that would trigger- the backup camera reverse parking mode. What worked better for me is when you start to back up, just swipe on the screen to move the camera downward to reverse. As another reviewer said, even when the camera is mounted directly in the middle of the car, the camera is naturally offset to the left so I mounted mine slightly to the right of my license frame. The recording is pretty good. Playback captures both front and back. I do not have this unit hardwired. Every time I open my door, the mirror makes a chime that you cannot turn off. The instructions aren't detailed as to what all the options do. For example, you can switch it to 50mhz or 60mhz frequency-- I can't tell the difference when I tried it... During the daytime, you'll have to have the rearview mirror angled downward a bit so you can see the video. In bright daylight, you'll have a hard time seeing the video where it's virtually useless as a rearview camera. At night, it's pretty good but lights will definitely blind the camera limiting it's use. If you want to see that effect, put your phone camera on and shine a flashlight at it from a distance. That will be the same effect as what you'll see in your rearview mirror camera. I took it through the drive through carwash and it still works fine- but that was only once so I can't really vouch for it's durability in wet conditions. I'm also in Southern California where it doesn't rain much. In my opinion, it's great device and for about $48 it's really worth it. There are some things that could be better and I wish there was a lot to make it your main mirror. I don't have much long term faith in the rubber straps that are used to affix the video monitor to the existing mirror. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase and would definitely try a higher grade model from this company if I needed another one in the future.

Super happy!!! I had to get another one after my car was totaled. They give you plenty of wiring, to give you an idea; the mirror to the rear camera was for my VW Tiguan. It had plenty of reach, plus a few feet extra. So no worries if you have an SUV. Picture is crystal clear, plus you can change the intensity of the brightness on the display. Took a few days to get used to since it's a camera behind you and not a mirror, but it's so worth it! The video will continuously loop and will automatically lock when impact is detected. You can choose between the rear camera, front camera, and a split screen of both. Extremely happy with this and if this car gets wrecked, I'm getting another one of these!

UPDATE #3: I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD BACK, WONDERING WHY THEY EVEN BOTHERED OFFERING A REPLACEMENT BUT NOW I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND BECAUSE THE CAMERA HASN'T BEEN WORKING PROPERLY I DIDN'T HAVE THE PROOF IT WASN'T MY FAULT AND NOW HAVE A TICKET! BEWARE, IT'S A HIT OR MISS WITH THIS CAM, MY FIRST 1 WORKED SO GOOD I BOUGHT THIS 2ND 1 BUT HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES LESS THAN A YEAR USING IT Update number 2: The seller contacted me about replacing the item. Was in regular contact until the manufacturer received my video proof of the issues. The only acknowledgment I got was that the video was received. It has now been a couple weeks or more and I am still waiting for some kind of response. This is the second time I bought this camera. The first one I bought works so good and I was so pleased with it that I bought a second one for my second car. But this one has problems. I'm updating my rating from 4 stars down to 2. I had only been using this product for 8 months, and suddenly every time I turn the camera back on the calendar and the clock resets EVERY SINGLE TIME, so now if I want accurate information on my dash cam in case I have to hand the footage over to any authorities I have to go into settings and fix it every time I leave my house. I tried looking to see if there was a battery that might need to be changed like some products do with clocks and dates but nothing. So I've been dealing with this headache for 2 months now.

I love this dash cam. I have one on my truck and another on my son’s car. I installed them both. It’s not as hard as people make it seem. Super clear picture. I suggest you get a good SD card….it will better the quality of the recordings.

This is a follow up to my prior review. After more then 3 full business days I've not had a response from this vendor. Therefore I've removed the 1 camera from my car held in place with my rubber bands and returning it as well as the 2nd camera that was unusable due to the missing plastic bracket. I'll purchase similar cameras from another vendor. Below is my initial review: I bought 1 of these and found it worked very well with the exception of the glare. Otherwise incredibly easy to install and use. I liked it so much I bought 2 more. Here's my reasons for less then 5 stars. The 2 cameras I bought after I purchased the 1st one, arrived with parts missing. Both of the cameras arrived without the elastic bands that enable you to attach the mirror over the stock mirror. In addition to the elastic attachment bands, one plastic attaching bracket is missing on one of the mirrors. It's the bracket on the rear of the mirror that the elastic bands attach too. Lastly the little phillips screw driver that is used to tighten the adjustment angle on the camera mounting bracket was missing from both cameras. That's not a big deal as I still have the one that came with my 1st camera. Temporarily, I attached 1 mirror to the stock mirror using rubber bands. For the time being it will do. The 2nd mirror with the plastic mounting bracket missing is useless. The only way to attach it is with rubber bands or zip ties going over & across the front of the mirror itself. Obviously that's unacceptable. I emailed the company asking if they can send me the missing parts. If not, I'll have to return both mirrors/cameras. This all happened on a Sat, so not expecting to hear anything till Mon. Returning them would be a PITA as I've already run all the wires in both cars and 1 car required drilling 2 holes through plastic trim to run the wire to the camera mounted at the rear license plate. I don't really want to have to take the wires out . The glare is a major problem. I spend a lot of time while driving re-orienting the mirror to minimize the glare. This is not exactly a safe practice while driving at highway speeds or low speeds. With no glare the vision is great. But with the glare the vision can go from sort of visible to seeing absolutely nothing. If the problems of the missing parts are corrected I found an anti glare film that can be attached to the mirror. If I get all the missing parts I'll give this anti glare film a try. It's about $7 per sheet. From what I read about this film, it does reduce glare to a manageable level. But you can no longer use the mirror purely as a mirror. It now can only be used with the camera on. Lastly because of the camera's wide angle field of vision it makes the vehicles behind you seem much further back then they actually are. If you're not aware of this, changing lanes can become an adventure. Even dangerous. If you're aware of this then you can easily compensate for the actual distance between you and the vehicles in your mirror and it should be no problem. I never heard back from the company. Returned both mirrors and replaced with 2 cameras from another vendor. Approximately the same cost but with a 12" screen and actually even easier to mount over my existing mirror. Also a clearer picture as these cameras are 2.5k vs 1080. All and all things worked out for the better.

It is a perfect replacent for my defective VanTop. I used the existing rear camera since the RCA plug fits perfectly. I had to use its proprietary C usb power connector, my VanTop used the earlier version usb connector. Other than showing the vehicles on the wrong side, as if I was in England, viewing the rear camera, is weird. Maybe there's a way to flip the image sideways, but I don't know how. Good price.

purchased this because it does not need extra mounting on the windshield, just using provided rubber band attach to the rear mirror. this provides large display of both front and rear cameras. Also, the quality is quite impressive. recommend for this price.
