This is one of the most lucid works in regression so far. The clarity of concepts, and the "hands on" style using data sets are absolutely perfect for understanding and mastering regression analysis at a good level: from simple classical linear regression, to generalized linear models and mixed models effects regression. Appendixes and data sets can be downloaded from the website. You can certainly use this book for self learning also.

I got this book for use as part of a quantitative methods program I was taking during the summer. It is a great reference that contains a ton of examples. Definitely worth it if you need a general all-purpose book for regression

required textbook for course

Bought this book for a graduate level regression class. This book is badly written and barely added anything to my learning of regression concepts. I found regression lecture and lab infinitely more valuable than this book.

I am asking for a refund! The Kindle edition is not really usable.
