Will this fit the Suunto traverse?

It should fit just fine as many of our customers have successfully used this style strap on many Suunto watches. You may need an adapter to make it work 100%. This is something you will need to look into.

It's not clear to me how this strap would attach to a garmin fenix 5x. is this strap compatible and are there directions to attach it? thanks

It would probable fit depending on the lug width but it would cover up the sensors on the back of the watch.
