medium fits 34 waist?

im a 33x30 and I typically wear large anymore for comfort because the mediums are too tight fitting in the crotch area.

What does " low output" mean?

Output level refers to exertion while wearing Carhartt base layer, so "low output" means you are not really exerting yourself. Base layer for “high output level” means it’s generally best worn for high-aerobic activities, keeping in mind that this also intersects with temperature.
