I bought this spool holder on a whim. After installing it on my machine and running a print I realized the reason I had under extrusion problems was the tension on the filament from the original spool holder location. This fixed that instantly and my prints improved immensely!! Installation is a snap, literally.

Barely passable when you have the correct hardware. Mine came with a machine screw that was too short to secure the parts together, so I had to go pick one up locally.

I like having the spool off the support which I had to realign after removal. The only issue is the tilting which causes the spool to move and the filament to rub on the spool. I tried a spacer and making a support but they didn’t work. The tube is reversible but same issue. The top tube is the same so I tried to use it to hold another spool as a counterweight. The ends are too long and hit before the can twist. So with a little sanding off of each tube both fit and the counterweight fixed the tilting and gave me a place for second spool.

This did exactly what I needed to replace my missing filament holder. Spins and holds the spool just fine!

It’s a great product quality wise I personally found I like the one that came with my printer but it’s still a great product I used it for awhile now I use it to hold a second spool on my printer to keep another spool close for quick swap out

You can print this yourself, but this is nicely built and durable. Fits the machine great.

Misaligned and causes the filament to drag. Get one that bolts in.
