Winco Square Mesh Skimmer, 6.75-Inch, Medium, Nickel

If you're serious about cooking—or even just serious about not making a huge mess—you need this Winco skimmer. I bought the 6.75-inch medium size, and it has quickly become my most-used tool, replacing a couple of flimsy plastic options I used to rely on. This skimmer is clearly built for professional kitchens, and that durability shines through in home use. The nickel-plated square mesh is fantastic. It's fine enough to capture the smallest bits of scum from a simmering stock or the finest crumbs from frying batter, but it drains liquids almost instantly. There’s zero hesitation when moving from the fryer to a cooling rack. The handle is sturdy, comfortable, and, most importantly, long enough to keep your hands safely away from hot oil or boiling water. It handles heavy items like large batches of fries, tempura, or dumplings without bending or feeling weak. After weeks of heavy use, washing it in the dishwasher, and dealing with high temperatures, it looks and performs exactly as it did on day one. If you are upgrading your kitchen tools, this is a non-negotiable item. It’s affordable, functional, and will last for years. Highly recommended! Why it earned 5 Stars: Superior Drainage: The mesh is perfect for removing oil or water quickly. Professional Durability: Solid construction that feels robust and balanced. Long, Comfortable Handle: Excellent safety feature for deep frying. Versatile: Ideal for everything from blanching vegetables to skimming stock and deep frying.
