Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation

I have purchased high end foundations for years and they seem to alter their quality of the product so I am always open to a better product and this is wonderful. I found a quality foundation that has exceeded my expectations for a portion of the cost. It's medium to full coverage that you honestly forget you have on it's that lightweight. It is easy to apply I use a Kabuki foundation brush that I bought from Amazon and note very little goes a long way with coverage that is awesome. No color change due to oxidation throughout the day. I have become more interested in better ingredients in what I put on my face avoiding irritants and this worked. I used Forever HD, Estee Lauder foundations, Two faced born this way and never went without having to retouch them so very dissatisfied with the promises and high cost - not so with this Bourjois healthy mix it's beautiful on my skin that is on the dryer side as I am a young 57 yr. old that works in the business that helps others look their best. The only draw back is a slight smell for a couple minutes after application.

I am a Jaclyn Hill fanatic, she had me convinced to try this foundation and I'm happy I did. I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to ship to the US but I'm happy I did. My skin type: Very sensitive, prone to breakouts and dryness, treated with retinol and glycolic acid EOD. Visible pores and can get oily in my T-zone. No wrinkles or fine lines. My skin tone: Fair with olive undertones, some redness, a few sun spots on my cheek region. My makeup routine: Primer (Tatcha), foundation (applied with a brush), under-eye concealer (Urban Decay Naked), setting powder for my under eyes (Anastasia banana powder), blush, setting spray (Urban Decay), then eye makeup and lipstick (many many many brands and products). This product: I have the color 53 Beige Clair (light beige) which is perfect for my light olive skin. It provides light to medium coverage that is buildable, goes on smoothly on top of my primer, and gives a very glowy/dewy appearance. I always go for a more natural makeup look and this does exactly that. It covers my sun spots and redness very well, evens out my skin tone,l and does not make my skin oily or make me break out. As far as longevity is concerned, I can't speak to that because I use a setting spray which is meant to extend the life of my makeup for 12-14 hours, so it stays on all day but that's probably more because of the setting spray than the foundation itself. It hasn't really changed the quality of my skin at all, but I don't expect it to, it's not skin care.

So I am currently on accutane, which is a drug that literally stops all oil production in your skin and dries it all out. I've been doing my best to keep my skin as hydrated as possible, but my old makeup wasn't helping with that. I had seen several reviews on this product and thought I would give it a try. First of all, it smells AMAZING. I have never had a makeup smell so yummy, but not in a gross perfume or fake way. I am very pale, and because this is more light-medium coverage, the lightest shade actually seemed to work for me. When I first pumped it I was worried it would be too sallow, but it looks lovely. I usually apply one layer and add another for more coverage. It is a dewy finish and is probably the most skin like makeup I have ever tried. If I feel I need more coverage after that, I usually just spot treat with a concealer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a product that won't dry out their skin, stick to flaky spots, or looking for something a little more natural that can be built up.

FYI Bourjois is a sister company of Chanel. The application of this is similar, very, very similar to Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere. Application: Application is easy. This is sheer and could, with effort, build to a medium coverage. It has a very skin-like finish and comes off as very natural. As far as how it looks on my skin, this is 5 stars. It makes my skin look like skin, but better. I have combination skin. With a primer this does not settle into pores and it does not cling to dry patches. I did not get oily, nor did it dry me out. Where the application fails is longevity. The first two hours are perfect. Around hour three and four I see significant break down. It slides around my face and breaks up. I have tampered with and without primer, as well as used a few primers with it. It just breaks up no matter what by the 4 hour mark. Even with powdering I get, max 4 hours of this with perfect looking skin. RE-applying is easy and quick but probably not realistic for most people. For me, I use this as a quick skin touch up when I need to run to the store, my skin could use a little love on the way to the gym, or for short errands. Color:51, Light Vanille, I am pale and pink. I have to walk away from many makeup companies because they don't go light enough for me (I'm looking at you Clinique, Clarins, Estee Lauder...). I would be considered Lancome's newest shade in 90N, but can also make 100N and 110C work for me. I often aim for neutral tones over pink because I like sheer or medium foundation and to let my skin shine through a little. This foundation is yellow. Quite yellow. However, it's sheer so it might be something passable for some people who are not warmer colored. I have made this work for me with a color adjuster. The skinny? This foundation could have been my holy grail item because of how easy it applies, how beautiful and natural is looks, and how it does not irritate my skin in the least. However, it fails on longevity and color options. If you don't mind touching up and lean yellow, this is a fantastic alternative to Chanel's Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere. If you end up loving this and the color doesn't work out for you, Chanel's color options are a bit better.

This is a very lightweight, moisturizing medium coverage foundation. The shades are very light. I suggest buying a shade darker or two than you think you need. It has very little scent and a consistency is fairly thin. it's easy to apply. It leaves a very nice sort of soft finish glow on my face. I have very dry and sensitive skin. I found a lot of reviews online and people seem to really like this product. I do too I just wish it was a tad bit more moisturizing. My only other complaint is that it doesn't last terribly long after application. however I really like this product and will continue using it on a regular basis.

I've honestly really loved this. I have fairly sensitive skin and foundation typically without fail causes me to break out a little every so often just simply because I am a college student, and if I wear makeup at 7 in the morning it's staying on all day until I finally go home. At the end of the day, this foundation still feels wonderful on my skin. Usually my foundation, after it's put up with around 10 hours of wear, it's bound to feel dry or oily or gross, but not this foundation. This foundation also looks gorgeous no matter how many hours I've worn it when I spray my face with a little bit of Amore Pacific facial mist, and I personally that impressive that I don't even need to reapply. All in all, this is a great every day foundation. The coverage is buildable, and I would personally prefer a more high coverage foundation if this foundation wasn't so incredibly beautiful and comfortable. I was able to attain great coverage, though, by just layering it. The result was not cakey whatsoever, and my face had a wonderful slightly dewy glow to it. I'm a fan. I wish a higher coverage version of this foundation would come out for the days I want to look a little more photo-perfect.

I'm a make-up junkie and have tried many foundations over the years. I've tried several drugstore varieties, but tend to prefer high-end foundations and was happy to spend whatever they cost. There are a few high-end foundations I really like...Too Faced Born This Way and Dior Star. Both of these cost between $40-$50. Over the years, I'd heard various youtube beauty guru's recommend this foundation, but as it's not sold in the U.S. and because I tended to always prefer high-end foundations, I never gave it a second thought. Then, last summer on a trip to France, I was in the pharmacy and saw this on the shelf. I decided to give it a try, and at the low price point I knew I had nothing to loose. Well, this has become my all-time, holy grail foundation. I have never used any other foundation that I prefer. The finish is GORGEOUS, flawless, dewy but not shiny, and lasts all day. I absolutely LOVE this foundation. Of note: there is no SPF in this product, so you'll need to apply one underneath. This color (54) is perfect for my fair to medium skin tone. My skin type is normal. Highly recommend this!

Good, medium coverage foundation for dry skin. It does have scent so if you are scent sensitive you will not enjoy this one. It takes some time for the smell to dissipate. This does not stick to any of my dry patches or my little peach fuzz. It does start disappearing after about 6 hours. The colors online are a little darker than actuality so if you are in between two colors I would say go to the lighter one. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the seal was broken/tampered with on my bottle. That really upsets me when I spend the money on a "new" product but it is not actually new. Overall I would recommend this to anyone with dry skin. It gives a nice satin glow to your skin that not all foundations do for dry skin.

I have bought so many foundations over the last couple years from relatively cheap to stupidity expensive. This doesn't give full coverage for say a night out but it is great for during the day, it doesnt feel heavy it doesnt cake and a little goes a long way. It's just a nice mid range foundation and a low end price. Only shame is I cant seem to buy it in shops near me so amazon to the rescue.

This product is very skin friendly, looking natural on your skin and not take much time to merge

Super

Amazing foundation! This has a natural lightweight finish and adds a lit from within glow to your skin. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't clog pores or cause breakouts. I am an NC25 in MAC and Bourjois Light Beige 53 is a perfect match for my light to medium skintone with yellow undertones. Love this foundation so much and I would recommend it to everyone, I make it work with my combination skin type by dusting with a bit of translucent powder after application. I regularly wear Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and this is a great dupe of that formula. I first heard about this from watching Lisa Elderidge's makeup tutorials and she really raves about using it as a light base and then spot covering problem areas with concealer. Another plus point is that it comes with a convenient pump on the bottle so no mess either :)
