I cannot give enough praise and credit to this book for quickly providing the "naming education". I needed to execute a large rebrand project for a client. Not only was I working on a short timeline but I needed to lead the messaging, renaming, and design process with confidence to build this new brand. I literally read this book in 3 days and implemented the strategies (almost to the tee). Needless to say, the results were phenomenal and the client was happy with the new name and transformed brand. We completed the entire naming process in warp speed—two and a half weeks, which is insane.This book is an absolute gem; I highly recommend it to anyone who will engage in a formal naming process and needs step-by-step instructions on how to do so. Renaming a company (especially a large, established one) needs a solid creative, tactical and legal strategy. This book teaches all of that eloquently and can be practically applied to real-world scenarios.

Rob Meyerson decodes a task that is seen as time consuming, expensive, and frankly beyond the reach of common people into a simple step-by-step process that anyone can follow to achieve an outstanding result!Brand Naming is the book I wished I’d had when I started my name development business in 2008. Full disclosure: I am a professional name developer (NameFlash). Understanding the process of name development that is detailed in this book would have saved me thousands of hours of “trial and error” in developing my own approach to naming. While there is some information in this book that seems to be targeted to a professional name developer, such as how to present names, in general the approach to naming is helpful to all who need to develop a name for their business, product or service.

I picked this book up because I needed to craft a brand name. I had a gut feeling of where I needed to start but i didn’t have a clear process to figure it out.Working through this book, i was able to crack it. But most importantly, i came away with a repeatable process to handle this need in future (which is the real value add for me). That’s how practical this book is.It works. Pick it up & try it.

Whether you're a beginner or veteran at naming, this book has something for everyone. The deceptively simple-seeming wisdom is a product of many years of experience and cultivation of creativity. Rob roots his insights in meaningful real-word examples and packages them in a manner that is clear, organized, and easy to consume. It inspires and invites creativity, while providing a down to earth A to Z framework for buckling down and doing "the work." I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to hone their naming craft!

This is a must-read if you are serious about brand naming. I wish I had read this book 1st instead of “Don’t Call It That” by Eli Altman (which is a great book, but Eli has a more alternative, niche approach whereas Meyerson presents a well rounded & very thorough view).

Well written and clear -- this book by Rob Meyerson is a must-have for any naming strategist. He outlines a clear and actionable process with respect to naming, but also provides different approaches to naming and brainstorming that will be helpful for teams learning to work together on this important client service. I'm sure this book will stay on my reference shelf for good. Great work, Rob!

You cannot overstate the importance of branding in business. This book dives deep and provides insight into the many considerations involved in naming a product or business. The average businessperson has no idea how involved this process can and should be! Bravo to Rob Meyerson for breaking it down and showing how detailed and important Branding can be. A MUST READ.
