I got these to use for crafting and I did decopauge them in various ways. They are very clear plastic and look a lot like glass. I use one as a button jar which I left mostly clear to see buttons inside but dressed it up a bit especially the top/lid. I used several to make decopauged non flame electric candle holders for fall and Christmas to sit in various places around the house.I haven't put liquids in these as I'm not sure if the tin lid would rust so I cant comment on that. But they do seem to seal well. They are functional, smallish jars and well enough built for the cost. ... These are not glass, but I didn't want the break-ability or expense of glass and these fit the bill but me. They are a good value for the money.

These little mason jars with the chalkboard stickers are great for Christmas gifts. I made sea salt caramels for our neighbors this year and these held about 20 caramels the way I wrapped them. The jars are plastic, the lids are basic, but with a little ribbon, they look so cute!

These are great to put snacks in and pop in their lunch boxes, but they WILL get totally melted and ruined in the dishwasher. Hand wash only!
