When ordering this, I didn't realize I was ordering a legitimate military surplus item coming directly from Russia--but that added to the coolness and authenticity factor. This is definitely a genuine Russian-made item, complete with factory Russian labels and decals. The build quality is absolutely top notch, with a size adjustment range so accommodating that I can't imagine any body size or piece of gear this could not fit over. I purchased this because I wanted to find a chest rig capable of quick mag changes for the AK, but which could double for an AR chest rig. This item does exactly that. As it came assembled, it would only fit 30rnd AK mags and AR mags. It would not fit my 40rnd AK mags, but adjustment of the tension straps may allow for that (which I have not yet verified). When ordering this, assume it will only fit 30rnd AK mags. This is my first experience with the Russian molle system, and I didn't know that their system is both snapless and with better adjustment range than the nato version. Most molle units have button snaps that lock the molle item in place once you've interwoven the tabs. The Russian system has a hefty tab that simply folds in on itself to form a mechanical lock. It is an interesting design, and I'm certain it will work with any other molle gear. The other interesting thing about the Russian setup is that both the vest and pouches have uninterrupted loops, where nato units have alternating rows of loops for where the gear intersects. This allows for very fine tuning of the location of pouches. Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit and it is VERY clearly built to last (thick fabric, strong stitching, quality buttressing). I'm looking forward to using this for speed training, but it is the ultimate in compact "grab'n'go" tactical gear. Another good application of this item is over a ghillie suit. It's very hard to create a gear access in a ghillie, without compromising the camoflage. This unit is so small, that it can mount to your chest without breaking up your silhouette and it's invisible when prone. The only piece of advise I could give on this item is to be sure to tape over the sharp edges of your magazine floorplates so that they don't cause the elastic to fray from use.

I'm running a N-PAP and a HK USP 45. All my mags including my pistol and rifle mags fit snug and secure. The Hk is fits but its a little to bulky. A Makarov would be a better option for use in a mag slot. I'm just going to run my HK on my hip. The fabric and stitch quality is extremely solid and rugged. This thing will not fall apart. The shipping costs are high but worth it. I ordered it on August 24th and its was at my door step on August 27th. That's From Russia to California in 3 days. That is faster than some of my Prime orders.

Worth the Money and the wait.I had shopped everywhere for an Ak rig and this exceeds my expectations. The straps are easily concealed after adjusting to your size.It's comfortable and the quality is top notch.This is perfect for three gun matches.

Durable and adjustable. Not a single issue after several months of hard use. Color has held unlike cheaper materials with sweat and sun. Pouches were not sewn in, however the molle allows for some customization. Highly recommendable.

A little pricey, yes. But this AK chest rig is tough, functional, and a great setup. I'm so glad I got my hands on one.
