Will the hp sprocket plus fit in this case

It would be a tight fit. The Sprocket fits snug in the case. So i don't think it will fit.

The zipper is crooked on the one I received. Is this usual or is mine defective?

does this work for 1st edition?

I'm not sure what the first edition is.... the Sproket I have might be the first edition.... it is the "HP Blue Sprocket Portable Photo Printer, Print Social Media Photos on 2x3" Sticky-Backed Paper - Blue (Z9L26A)" It fits just fine. There is about 1/2 inch of spare room around the device (like picture shows) but there is an elastic band that keeps the device in place and a little pocket on the cover side where I store the cable and the spare paper sheets. Works great.
