No, it doesn't have a built-in projector.

Would this work with projecting a transparency onto the wall to draw?

If you mean in the classroom and connect with a projector to show the image onto the wall, and yes it works. If you want to do virtual learning and display the image on virtual meeting app such as "Zoom", "Google Meet", then, it won't work. The visualizer is usually be used on presentation, and on-site class. If you consider also the virtual teaching, we recommend to look for USB document camera, which might also fit your needs.

Is this compatible with Chromebooks?

This item does work with screen instead of computer, it doesn’t need to work with software , it is good at displaying images or documents or real objects,and procedures of experiments or writing at the real time on site to on-site audiences. we design it to connect with computer , is to build a loop to let user switch the signal between LV7000, computer screen and projector through buttons or remote controller on panel without plugging-unpluging .

Works ok, but odd design

For the price works ok. Lights are not very effective. Biggest complaint is the odd size and orientation of the base. It will fit an 8.5 x 11" paper, sidewsys, but if you try too move it to focus on a part of the page, it hits the lights so there's no room. If you turn it 90 degrees, the cameras in the wrong position and it hangs off the front. Odd design.

I am an employed at a university in Texas and we have the LV-7000 Doc Cam. Someone in our department misplaced the power cord and they promptly sent me a replacement at no cost. I was very impressed with Longjoy's customer service.
