Very soft and squeezable.
Heats and cool very well. 1 minute in microwave gives you 30 minutes of warmth. Freezer take longer 20-30 minutes.

It's alright for a toddler
Good size! Smells bad when you microwave them though! Doesnt get "warm" enough to make it microwaveable imo. I'd give it a four if one of those options worked better. It's worth the buy just to have but for its purpose nah! Wouldn't get for a young kid, maybe a toddler
