Works Great!
It was 1 AM when I heard a loud crash. I awoke to see this 75-year-old mirror in pieces on the floor. Although it looks like carved wood, it is comprised of some molded material glued onto a frame. It took a few days to figure this jigsaw puzzle out, but there were still many small missing pieces that I had to fabricate with Rock Hard putty. I was going to try gold leafing it, but that seemed like too much work. I bought some Rub and Buff and what arrived was a tiny tube. I couldn't imagine that this tiny amount would cover this rather large mirror. It not only covered it, but I still have half a tube left. It doesn't have the nuance of gold leaf, but it still looks better than new. I can see the imperfections in my gluing, but the antique gold color is perfect! It is a great product.

A little goes a long way!
This stuff works so great! Super easy to use..just wipe on and rub in. Totally made my project way easier than I thought it would be! Doesn’t take much so this will last a long time!

Easy and Forgiving!
These bells are older than me, almost 50 years old, my parents brought them home from a trip in Switzerland, but they had rusted horribly and I wanted to try to restore some patina but have them look a little more cleaned up. The chain links were completely rusted and This stuff gave the entire thing a facelift! I used a little artist brush to paint and stipple, and I will admit sloppily, the product into the rusty links and then I wore surgical gloves to rub and buff it around on the chains. Totally easy to give a patina look, and it dries fast! It was a lot of fun to do as well. it can get a little stinky so cracking a window will help. A little goes a LONG way. I got Grecian gold.

Good product
This product works great, just be aware of inconsistent thickness/consistency among different shades. I purchased both Grecian Gold and Gold Leaf shades to mix together, and one of them was much more liquidy than the other, and harder to control. The thicker one was the consistency of toothpaste and much easier to control. I had to shake both tubes first before mixing, to be on the safe side.

Awesome product everyone should know about
I don’t know how I had never heard of this product! This is so cool. You can use it on anything. It creates such a great pop. So far I have used this to redo a vintage night stand, the handles, and picture frames. I am also going to use it to redo a dresser to match the nightstand. I paired the gold color with a Seafoam Green chalk paint. When I first opened the package I laughed because the tube was so small but a little goes a long way! I am posting a picture of the nightstand I did. It isn’t my favorite piece I have redone but it was my first in a long time and my first time using the product. Overall, I am still happy with the results. It also dries really fast. In the picture posted I had only used one coat on the handles and it totally covered the tarnished handles. I will be purchasing more colors for sure!

Great
This stuff is amazing. Glides on smooth and coverage is almost instantaneous. I just applied with my gloved fingers and buffed. Completely elevated my hardware almost instantaneously.

Much more yellowy gold than expected; difficult to wipe on in spite of surface prep
I got this product so that I could change the color on my bar cabinet hardware which is custom made for the cabinet and not easy to swap out. I had prepped the hardware to accept the Rub n'Buff by degreasing it, giving it a light sanding and wiping it down before applying it with a light touch according to instructions. At first, the wax would just wipe right off at the point of buffing, even a gentle swipe would take it off. I attempted applying it with a gloved finger, ungloved finger, microfiber cloth, and Q-tip... and in the end the ungloved finger was the most successful. The wax dries fast, but unfortunately that doesn't mean that it sticks to the hardware - it just clumps up and rolls right off. The only way I got this to work was with multiple heavy applications of the wax, using my bare finger to 'blotch' it all over the surface, waiting a bit for it to partly dry, and then buffing with a microfiber cloth to fill in the crevices that didn't get enough wax. Then I filled in bits that were still bare with a pointed Q-tip. Not entirely happy with the realism of the results, it looks as if I used a thick paint. I got the Grecian Gold which ended up being a lot more yellowy/coppery in tone than the vintage brass-gold I had hoped for (see pic). If I could have removed all of the hardware (which wasn't possible in this case), it would have been easier for me to spray paint this and seal with a varnish.
