Mother Earth Products Instant Classic Hummus

This hummus is delicious. I was looking for hummus that I could customize the amount of oil. This is perfect. I actually made it without any olive oil and I loved it. I will definitely order more. The only thing I would suggest is a little less sodium.

Because I can’t eat fresh garlic, I can’t purchase ready-made hummus, so I thought this would be an answer to my prayers. Not so. I was so disappointed in the overpowering and excessive lemon and a garlic flavor I can’t bring myself to finish it. I passed it on to other family members and they all agreed it was the worst hummus they’ve had and all you can taste is lemon and garlic. I missed the return window by one day, so I won’t be purchasing this item again, but just be aware of the flavor. I’ve been eating hummus for years, so maybe this was just a bad batch.

This was a really good product, then a few months ago something changed and it became very garlicky. I ordered some again this past week, hoping that the online reviews had had an effect. Now it's too salty and has to be mixed with something else in order to be edible. I hope this gets fixed!

I got this for a backpacking trip hoping it would go well with some pita bread. It exceeded my expectations. Just add water and stir. I would be happy to use this at home, but for backpacking, where weight is a concern, this is a great mid-day meal.

I've only made one batch so far. And my first impression is that the product has way, way too much garlic. You could cut the amount in half and it would be much closer to "classic" hummus while still being garlicy.

Everyone was right. The garlic taste is completely overpowering. It just is not good. I thought I could take it. I was wrong. I just don't want to eat this.

Tastes great! Has a notable lemon flavor (more so than pre-prepared hummus varieties.) Worked perfect for enjoying hummus on backpacking trips! The amount of liquid that the recipie on the bag called for felt a little too watery to me. In subsequent batches, I added a little less & it had a better texture.

I liked this product a year ago, but the recent batch (Fall 2024) has way too much garlic in it. I like garlic, but this is like eating raw garlic with a side of hummus. That, combined with the high amount of salt, makes this nearly unpalatable. Please go back to the old recipe!
