Great for cactus, succulents, citrus
What’s to love about soil. You need it, you buy it, you pot up plants. End of review

Highly recommend
The bag size is a bit small. But the quality is great. I grow succulents. I just transplanted a couple of my plants. So far so good!!

Soil Review: Not Enough to Get the Job Done
I recently purchased this soil, and while it was technically as advertised in terms of weight and volume, it didn’t go nearly as far as I expected. When the bag was sealed, it seemed like a generous amount, but once I started pouring it out, it was surprising how little there actually was. Not Enough for Larger Projects The packaging gave me the impression that I’d have plenty to work with, but the soil settled so much that it barely covered what I needed. If you’re working on a small planter or topping off existing soil, it might be fine, but for anything larger—like filling garden beds or multiple pots—you’ll definitely need more than one bag. Settling & Compression One thing I noticed was how much the soil compacted inside the bag. Even though the stated volume seemed reasonable, once poured out, it didn’t spread nearly as far as I’d hoped. This made it difficult to judge how much I actually needed, and I ended up having to make another trip to get more. Decent Quality, Just Not Enough To be fair, the soil itself was pretty good—loose, nutrient-rich, and well-draining. But the quantity issue made it frustrating to work with. I would have preferred more realistic expectations on the packaging so I could plan accordingly. Final Verdict While the soil matches its advertised specs, don’t be fooled by how full the bag looks. Once you pour it out, it doesn’t go very far, so I’d recommend buying extra from the start to avoid running out mid-project.

Good but not the greatest for well draining.
Good mix for succulent.

Good quality soil. Pay attention to the small quantity - for small plants.
Good quality planting soil for small plants. I bought 2qt from my new small Rue (Ruda) plant and it was enough with about 15-20% left; thank God I didnt take the 1qt! I had a 6.5"wide×5"tall pot to fill with that Rue plant. You can see in my pictures the dimensions and the potted plant, so you get an idea how much of soil youre getting. Ive measured around 2 lb with unreliable scale, but thats about the amount youre getting. Its very puffy soil, great for baby plants, so its soft on their roots. If you have needs for a larger plant, get it in your local hardware store - its cheaper. Otherwise if its a few small plants, its convenient to buy this good quality soil.

Mojave is a happy plant!
My beautiful Mojave has been with me since tiny sprouthood. He has steadily grown with the same soil over 4 years, until he reached a stand still. Still beautiful, tall & proud but nonetheless, done growing. UNTIL this soil. Mo is now sprouting new growth and looks so cheerful and rejuvenated. I put this soil on top of his same soil so he wouldn't be too shocked by the difference and it worked well. YES! It's wonderful seeing him so happy.

I guess it's good
I don't grow things. I looked at other reviews from those who supposedly do and I purchased this. I got a couple of starter succulents from work and I'm trying not to let them wither. The plants have a place to root. They are growing. I should probably get some succulent food some time. It seems to hold enough water and lets the extra drain. I only give them a little every few days or more when the soil seems dry. This soil must be okay. I'll five star it because I don't know any better to give a fully knowledgeable review.
