This thing works great, and is tons of fun. The ridiculous things you can do with it are only limited by your imagination. It even has overheat protection as I found out from running the crap.out of the poor little thing.

A great desktop toy to wow your inner nerd. Great price, works, easy setup. You must use square wave music, normal music sound like crap static. This product ships a USB stick with 130+ square wave mp3s (including Mario Bros). This thing can get surprisingly LOUD (vid is short because I'm in the office and don't want to irritate everyone)

Do you have an autistic uncle? A dad who loves "sciencey stuff"? Someone in your life who loves magnets and physics and ferrofluid? Well, this is the gift for them!! This tesla coil worked very well right out of the box. Safe to touch and use with things like lightbulbs, it's fun for most ages! Looks super cool in the dark and everyone likes touching the "arc" of lightning. The one downside is that it's loud. VERY LOUD. Music or not, you can hear this bad boy from across the house. That doesn't make it any less cool, but the ambient noise can get annoying quickly. The little playlist of songs is really fun. "Mario" and "Zelda" were both hits. Trying to play your own music kind of sounds like throwing your phone into a deep fryer and connecting it to your cousin's dollar tree amp, but to be fair, it isn't made for that. For it being a box that shoots lightning, it plays the music pretty well. It's smallish and heats up fast, so watch for that. Overall, a great product. Everyone thinks it's amazing. Showstopper at our family dinner and everyone loves it.
