I have a bad tendency to burn my upper forearm when reaching into the oven. It finally occurred to me that they might make gloves that come up over the forearms. I did some research and picked these. These are great! No more burns. Also, these are sturdy, heavy duty and will, I'm sure, prove very durable. Great product. One point, though. I am a woman and I have fairly large hands compared to most women I know. My forearm is about 9 inches and my hand is about 6 1/2 inches long (base of palm to end of longest finger) and 3 inches wide at the palm. These gloves are huge on my hands. So if you're a woman with regular size or small hands, try a different product. I have to be careful to get a good hold of whatever I'm trying to pick up because of all the excess fabric around my hands so I don't drop anything. I tried pulling the gloves higher, but the fabric bunched at my elbow. Tried folding it over at the top, but then the glove slipped down. Despite all that, when I use these things, I can grab and hold on fine, I just have to make sure I have a good grip despite all the excess on my hands. And I don't have to worry about my forearms getting burned any more. I considered sending these back, but they are so heavy duty and well made, that I just worked with them a bit and found that it's fine. Just be aware, if you have small hands, you may have trouble grabbing. Medium to large hands, these are fantastic!!

I loved the quality and the long sleeve.

My husband is a baker, with many scars from burns on his arms. He was totally satisfied with this product and did not receive any burns on his arms the other night. The mitt style oven protectors performed excellently for him and gripped the large hot pans with no problems at all. He has been baking for over 55 years and actually bragged on your product. I hope they last a long time or at least for a practical duration. So far so great! The length, which comes high on the arm, protected him from the spinning of the large hot pans. My husband is a difficult person to please when it comes to his bakery items, BUT, this item he is totally content with. Thank you----hopefully no more burns/scars.

I like these very much. The coverage and protection is great!!! The negative is when the material on the fingers touches the heat, it feels as though it will melt right through, but that has not happened. However, I regret buying them only because I do not use them anymore. I tend to go for the dish towel because it is convenient.
