Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Great addition for my small project!!
I'm no expert, I had a project that needed center finding for mating two different size discs on center. I typed in miniature center finder and this popped up. For the price I bought two. They are very well made, good heft and finish. Im a DIY'r and this was what I needed. I would buy again and will look at other items of theirs. Accurate for my needs.

Works well for the hobbyist
I think of this as a hobbyist level machining tool. I used it to find centers in aluminum round stock. Worked fairly well although I still ended up off center several times. Probably. It accurate enough for a professional machinist but I’m guessing they have better methods of finding dead center. Good value for the money.

Excellent center finder - on the second try
The first Taytools center finder I received was very slightly off from being able to find dead center. It probably would have still worked for my purposes but I returned the product and called the company’s customer support line. I explained the situation and the person I spoke with at Taytools couldn’t have been better. She assured me the next one I received would be dead on accurate. She did not disappoint. I just received it and it is dead on accurate. I really like it’s heft and machining too. I have bought other items from Taytools in the past with good results and my experience with their customer service rep on this purchase (thanks Sam!) reinforces my positive opinion of the company.

Very good
Works as intended. Feels very good quality when you hold it.The plastic container is also very important and serves its purpose to preserve the tool.

Uselessly inaccurate
Bought to mark center on small round stock, but straight out of the box it’s visibly off-center. I attached some pictures with a machinist square to show how laughably off-square the center finder is. I also marked lines across 1” round brass stock to show how lines don’t intersect. Please redirect your money towards a different product as this one. There are cheaper paperweights out there.

Very simple and works great
Works exactly as it should for a very simple method to find the center of round stock. Has a nice solid feel to it and seems well made. I suspect the bad reviews were the result of not using the tool properly, or using too thick of a marker for the lines. To get good results, you can't use a thick pencil or marker to draw the lines or they will be off center half the thickness of the line you drew. Use a razor blade or exacto knife to score fine lines for the most precision.
